Materials
Weave
To achieve superior quality, BauKorb uses material from the some of the worlds leading manufacturers in synthetic polymer spline. The spline is comprised of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and is textured to evoke the look and feel of wicker. As well as being 100% recyclable, our synthetic wicker can withstand sun, salt, acid rain, pollution and extreme temperatures, and will not fade, crack, or split, making it the perfect solution for outdoor commercial and residential projects. 100% Recyclable.
Aluminum
We use tubular and cast aluminum to build our frames. Aluminum is a weather resistant, rust-proof, non-corroding material. We produce a powder coated aluminum tube with a 2.5+ mm thickness, that is higher than the standard for contract and residential applications.
Teak
We use teak because it is a renewable, eco-friendly resource. Farmed in Indonesia specifically for furniture production, teak is incredibly oil rich, which protects it from extreme weather and reduces its tendency to crack or split and is resistant to rotting, moisture, and acid rain.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is sleek and stylish and a perfect fit with contemporary outdoor furniture. We generally manufacture using 304-grade stainless steel with a brushed finish - the industry standard for outdoor products. Stainless steel has a thin chromium oxide film that provides significant corrosion and rust resistance. Stainless steel is both durable and reliable outdoors, even in harsh climates. Furthermore, stainless steel is not a significant conductor of heat, preventing exposed frames from becoming too hot in direct sun.
Exceptionally strong in comparison to their weight, our new aluminium collections all feature a tough and easy to maintain powder coat finish. (Coming 2015)
Fabrics
BauKorb Outdoor Furniture is proud to be able to supply the worlds leading outdoor fabrics. Sunbrella, Perennials and our own BauKorb in-house fabric.
All of our fabrics are solution-dyed acrylics that have been specially designed and tested for their maintenance free qualities to make them fade-proof, as well as stain and mildew resistant. Though we recommend cushions be brought inside (especially in the Fall & Winter) to extend their longevity, the fabric's overall construction makes it tough enough to withstand the elements outside in every season, and all the little accidents that come with everyday living.

Cushion
BauKorb Outdoor Furniture's cushion technology has been designed and engineered to be enjoyed year round, in all weather. Our cushions are designed to be highly water resistant so no water can enter the cushion itself. All our seating uses a multi layered density foam that is hand sculpted to fit your furniture perfectly.
With any item left permanently outside and exposed to the elements, regular cleaning is recommended.
